Help with search

I've been trying to look back at old posts by certain posters, eg. Eastbay, Irieguy, Gigabet, but i can't seem to get it to go back any further than 5 or 6 months.

I've tried setting the search peramiter for older than 6 months/newer than 1 year but it doesn't help. I've tried searching under show all users posts, but the search still stops after about six months.

Am I missing something obvious here?

Yeh annoying huh.

My guess is they delete everything older than 6 months to keep the search faster or the site easier to manage or something.
