1) Entourage
2) Prison Break
3) Nip Tuck
4) Lost*
5) Dirty Jobs
I'm awaiting the 30days series done by the guy who did "SuperSize"... the documentary about living off McDonalds for 30 days.
* kinda on the fence about Lost. I watched the whole first season in the span of about a week thanks to binary newsgroups. I am having a hard time getting into the second season...

Why would you name the subject "Top 3 TV Series" and then list your top five. I know, no relevance on the discussion at hand, it just struck me as odd.
My top three:
1) House, M.D.
2) American Chopper (I guess)
3) I don't really watch anything else with any frequency whatsoever.

2) Rome
3) Lost (would be higher, but the first two episodes of this season have been lacking IMO.)

Amazing Race Family Edition...
Best 2 hours I've watched on TV since Carnviale and Deadwood were back-to-back.
A major scrub or complete dysfunctional family breakdown at least every ten minutes.
by current do you mean on tv right now, like fall 2005, or tv series this year?
1) 24
2) alias
Anyone start watching kitchen confidential? My Tivo snagged it and it's not bad.
Also, let's not get carried away with entourage, I enjoy it, but it's the same friggin 30 minutes every episode. Hot girls, drinking, smoking, a party. I watched the whole first season in one night and it felt like one 2 hour episode.

yeah...my bad, first got the idea for top 3, then wanted to include the last two but forgot to change title.
UPDATE:
current as in showing right now. (i like 24 as well)
I think the first 2 seasons of Lost have been weak as well. But its pretty much still on my list because of how much I liked the first season.
poker doesn't count... this is OOT, go blow your poker-load elsewhere
I tried watching an episode of ROME, but it didn't appeal to me.
I'm surprised no one mentioned CSI. I've watched a couple episodes but failed to get in on the ground floor. I find it semi interesting and semi bullshit.

1) 24- this is not even close. by far the best show on television and its not arguable.
2) Curb Your Enthusiasm- So funny. Larry David = Genius.
3) arrested development- i could see how if you werent smart and didnt appreciate non slapstick humor how this would bore you. but its very funny IMO.

Ok top 3:
1. LOST
2. Rome
3. this is up in the air.... I would put the Wire up top, but season 4 doesn't premiere until '06. So I'll go with "The Daily Show"
I like Invasion, and have heard great things about Nip/Tuck and Prison Break. I think serious consideration can be given to "The Soup" on E!

I cannot believe Battlestar Galactica gets no props on this board. Must not be popular with the college/recent grad crowd. It is easily #1, #2 is Curb. I also find the Amazing Race entertaining, so that will be #3. I will state that I have never seen Lost.
