Here's why it isn't a good prank- People clicked on that link without thinking because they trusted that a regular wouldn't put something like that up. If someone with 5 posts put that up and people still clicked without investigation, it's their own stupidity. its curiosity based, not gender based; for me at least. i click on hundreds of links a week, this was just another.

I know who the OOT regulars are as well as anyone does.

1. Probably, though this being a male-dominated board about a male-dominated activity, you never know.
2. Hard to prove a negative. I might have a chance of telling you if she did, but not if she did not. If Peachy was my life or something.
3. There's no particular reason anyone should know that Alobar and Peachy are friends. I've a jillion Peachy posts by now and didn't even know that she knew Alobar, much less the state of their putative friendship.

I agree that the original post didn't make much sense. A friend posting a link to another friend's blog as if it were a means to hurt that friend -- pretty clearly says there's no friendship.

Nobody should really know any of these things you mentioned, though we might believe #1 is true.

As to taking this too seriously, someone might have gotten in significant trouble at work or even fired. If they didn't, it was through no fault of the person posting the link like a little bit*h.

That's the first thing I did. However, the new windows were popping up much quicker than I could stop them through Task Manager. Plus as I was fiddling with Task Manager, the windows were jumping around in the background. I had to turn off my monitor and reboot before someone walking by my desk saw what I was looking at.

Anyway, from that site I followed some links to a few other sites I ended up finding a link to a blog that I believe is actually Peachys. I was saying this to eurotrash earlier, and I think that its valid, if someone got fired over this, then they were probably on the way out to begin with. For those that might've gotten in trouble, it can easily be explained to their boss about how they were misled on a link
