While clearing the eurobet 250 raked hand bonus, the first 175 hands were cleared with profits of 18.95 BB/100. Last 75 were cleared at losses of 31.83 BB/100 with total profit of 2.67 BB/100 plus $50 bonus.

I think I might throw up after that last session

Welcome to the world of poker. The bad news is, it's always like that. This is also the good news as well. If not for the streakiness of it, losing players would never get the chance to win sometimes, and they would never play, and winning players wouldn't have anyone to win money off of.

You do realize that 250 hands is nothing, don't you? It's not even a rounding error. You haven't discovered variance yet, I can assure you.

Poker is like a chess game that you play for $1, followed by a coinflip that you play for $10. You've only discovered a few coinflips. True variance comes when you play 10,000 hands and flip tails 75% of the time. Not an exaggeration.

Exactly. The fact that you're taking the time to look at anything less than 1,000 is odd to me. I haven't even opened the screen in about 3-5K hands.

Just because he hasn't experienced the full force of variance, doesn't mean he hasn't discovered it.
