It's the type of raise that would make me want to fold here. A very short stacked player raising only part of his stack pre-flop should set off warning bells a majority of the time. I guess it's the same logic behind minraising. It's something bad players do that's not theoretically correct, but traps logical players into calling down and paying them off on their monsters.

The two hands you just posted are exactly the sort of thing that I mentioned in my reply in your "running bad" thread.

On their own they both seem workable, but in the scheme of your current run, I just wonder if you've drifted into the realms of a bit LAGgy by accident.

Maybe tighten up just half a notch for a few games and see if it improves things.

TERRIBLE PLAY. RAISER OBVIOUSLY HAS KK OR AA, YOU PRETTY MUCH GAVE YOUR CHIPS AWAY TO HIM. YOU ALSO HAD BAD POT-ODDS HERE. TERRIBLY PLAYED, YOU SHOULD MOVE DOWN TO THE 11S.

So it was a fold for you then?

I think you can play it this way with no ill effects if you're on the top of your game and reading things well.

Taking the bigger picture, I think a fold is probably correct as you may not be seeing things as clearly as you normally do, so keeping it simple is better.

Ok thanks for the advice. I will try to keep things simpler when i am running bad.
