09-28-2005, 10:34 PM
Just a question,

Im new here, do u guys pay and the one who goes further wins the money or... am i just going crazy and ur just doing this for bragging rights?

Thank you /images/graemlins/confused.gif

There are some Last Longer Bets that go on in threads, but this one is just to keep track of fellow 2+2ers and to let everyone know how you're doing in the tournament.

KneeCo
09-28-2005, 10:39 PM
there are last longer bets on some tourneys (generally you'll see LL in the title).

More oftne than not this is saved for Poker Stars tourneys where sending around money is way easier.

For the 40K its basically just a support/brag thread. With very little bragging done by me, since I never make the second break in this thing.

09-28-2005, 10:45 PM
Ok thanks, I was wondering what that LL meant.. IM table 162 (guimauve0000)... finished 2nd in this one last day. hoping for something similiar today /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm in. Just had an ugly hand where I raised QQ UTG+1, got reraised by the button, and check-folded a K-high flop. He hadn't raised a hand yet and all I'd shown down so far was AA and KK. (effective stacks were about 2K, blinds 15/30.) I figure he has AA-JJ, AK, and maybe TT there.

Or he's a total donk and I pwned myself. We may never know.

09-28-2005, 11:19 PM
Sitting on 1915. Good cards, not alot of action.

T4847, lots of good cards and lots of action. Only bad hand was when my flush lost to a rivered boat early on.

card dead. AQ once was my best hand. 1155 at break.

09-28-2005, 11:22 PM
Just lost 2/3 of my stack with AA againts a K8 on K52 flop... I reraise him prflop and call him all in on flop, he caught his 8 on the river

09-28-2005, 11:22 PM
1030 nothing doing

ethan

2745 at the break. There's a guy two to my left who can't fold a pair. As in, he was happy to get his money in on a QQT7 board with 66. Or a QTT52 board with 53o. The beauty of it is he's been winning these pots so he's at 2700.

I just haven't been able to get into a hand with him yet.

edit - make that 2K. My AK is no match for a short-stack's KT.

edit2 - 4.5K. My JJ takes out QTo and 55 on an A44J5 board. sweet.

Anyone know what UAC is?

There's one guy with UAC in his name at my table and another cheering him on in the chatbox.

3550 tripled up

09-29-2005, 12:05 AM
I've seen that referred to a few times, but I still don't know what it is.

Anyone else know?

ethan
09-29-2005, 12:05 AM
Still in pretty good shape, but just donked off 1500 vs a short-stack. I figured my A9o was ahead of his range, but unfortunately his range included 99.

09-29-2005, 12:11 AM
Im out, was short stacked so called an all in with 77 againts J5.... not my day

Good luck guys!

7124 at table 13.
free rollin' since I went all-in shortstacked early in hour 2 with TP, got called by pocket rockets and spiked two pair on the river.

I used to feel bad about doing that kind of thing, but it's been done to me enough that I now know better, especially since I think I played the hand in question fine.

09-29-2005, 12:29 AM
My 88 ran into QQ on a 2 4 7 flop, and I'm out of here. GL guys.

Out in 30th.

Reraised a min raise pf with JJ and got called by the min raiser who flipped KQs and spiked a K on the turn. That crippled me and a little while over it was over.

Oh well, maybe some other time.
