I'm having a hard time giving a CO credit for a hand and would probably call down. A guy that colds preflop and then donks the preflop 3-better doesn't have AK that often. Based soley on his line I would bet this guy is fos enough for you to call down profitably.

Against a passive player I'd say this is an easy fold, but against an unknown player I think this is a thin call. I think the chance you're good here combined with the chance of spiking a queen makes you just better than the 15% you need to make calling profitable.

You wouldn't think the king would change anything (since MP1 apparently didn't like it).

It's possible, though, that CO planned to checkraise the turn while he was calling the flop.

If so, a set seems likely. But a hand like 88 isn't out of the question either.

While playing the hand, I might make a hasty fold. But looking at it here on the forum, I like calling down better.

Villian's hand screams medium pocket pair. He donks his over pair into you and you naturally raise, as many overaggressive players do with AQ, AJ, AK, even KQ. Then he check raises you on the turn thinking his medium pair was good on the flop. How did the king help him? Did he have KQ? Why would he donk with AK or KQ? Maybe he flopped a set, but that would be MUBS big time. I actually would argue three betting was better than folding! But calling down is the correct, and I would assert standard, play against an unknown SS player.

Easy call against an unknown. Esp considering that MP1 is out of the picture. This could just as easily be some trash two pair which you have alot of outs to counterfit. If it was some crazy tight passive i'm mucking. I'd say your ahead more than 20% of the time here vs an unknown
