On the turn, I'd either check behind or push. If I check, then I'm check / folding any river as well. The donk bet / call a large raise from villain on the flop looks like either a made flush or (less likely) a set, so I'd probably shut down at this point. However, if you have a read or otherwise think you're ahead on the turn, then push. The 230 bet serves no real purpose at this point and you're giving too good of odds on such a draw-heavy board.

I like the raise on the flop. It gets him scared which he shows on turn too. The bet on turn when he checks is somewhat low. 230 into a pot of 530? I would push it here since he showed weakness and just try to take the pot right here and not letting a fourth spade card come for free or giving away the river card for cheap and allowing him to hit a overpair. Besides with your bet on 230 you will have to call the river no matter what.

Good raise on flop.
Push the turn.

Just my comments.

Yeah, the thought that I should have pushed the turn hit me about half a second after I didn't do it. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

"push the turn, but call the river. not much left. "

ditto. I might have tossed in a small reraise PF in order to be more likely headsup and in position for the rest of the hand. I guess I feel that in the $20 games, a 2BB raise once called at a full table, often gets more callers. This is lame for JJ since you want to be headsup and certainly don't want to be in the middle. After your reraise, if he goes all-in you have a very good idea where you stand /images/graemlins/smile.gif
