Does this have to do with the fact that even if you lose you're most likely ITM? And if you win, well there's most likely 1st place...

Edit: Added most likely -- would give you the chip lead.

Is it because if you push, you could isolate the shortstack and be heads up with Ak to make the money. Plus, the chip leader is out, so you cannot get busted. and if button calls or also pushes, you get better than 3 to 1 on AK with a great shot of being ITM even if your hand loses.
