I have been playing on Pokerstars for about a week now after using other sites, and I am amazed at the the number of times a pr is beat by 2 overcards.

I have held QQ 4 times in tourneys and its never stood up against AK AJ and A10 twice, each time an ace has hit. A couple of times I have been short stacked other times chip leader and been called by a short stack hoping to double through which is fair but it dosent add up is QQ a bad hand?????
I have noticed this with other players having beats by a person holding an Ace.

I am yet to see a pr like 88 10 10 99 stand up against any kind of ace. /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

It seems to me the site is very high handed by this I mean the flop usually brings an Ace or King, also 10 -A str8s are very common, I just wonder if other players have noticed this.

You are not the first person to pose that question...I would suggest you do a search of the archives here regarding Pokerstars tournaments, may be of some help to you.

If you guys would just read your user agreements before you join up for a site you wouldn't ask these questions. Yes, Pokerstars flops contain a higher majority or Aces and Kings than other sites, but they never claim otherwise.

Pokerstars uses a fair shuffle algorithm from a 60 card deck. This deck contains all the regular cards plus a BONUS PACK of 4 more Kings and 4 more Aces.

A real pokerplayer should be able to adjust to these differences. This is why you'll see many players seemingly 'overplay' AK. While simply it is a huge favorite over smaller pairs.

Ive taken so many bad beats there that I am tempted to ask if this is really the truth...... /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif seems however that they used a 52 card deck specially for our zoo challenge

And sometimes, they just simply use a Pinochle deck.

Hmm...this clearly tells us that an ace is more likely to flop when you have QQ or KK as opposed to JJ. Interesting, very interesting. /forums/images/icons/ooo.gif

Wow, you have to love that distribution. I believe you should get any particular pair every 215 hands so 6920/215 comes out to an expected number of 32.23 pairs. A, K, J, T, 9 all at or over while 2, 4, 5, 6 significantly under. Interesting how your queens have held up slightly better than your kings.

But the program does not tell us how much he won. You could bet a lot preflop and scare people with JJ. And play a little tighter when you have QQ. People holding Ax wont call that big bet when you hold JJ. But when you make a small raise and some guy holding Ax will call. He hits an ace and you lose.
Is it possible to see how much you win with each hand? That would be great.

he weighs 325 pounds, and his peepee has gone from 9" to 5" because of the .. umm.. overlay.

this was all told to me, mind you. i have never watched anything smuttier than Alf.
