At what age

... do you think children should stop seeing their parents naked (ie. in the shower). I know, here come the pedophiles (just keep it in your pants boys!).

I'm hoping for at least a couple of serious answers (tough task around here I know, but I have faith in my fellow OOTers, but I'm not sure why).

As soon as they're able to bathe themselves. Then, when they're like 14, it's ok for them to be around their same sex parent naked when they're in a locker room type situation.

You're not thinking very hard. If it's just you and your two year old in the house, and you both need/want a bath/shower, you can't just take your shower leaving the kid unattended and out of earshot. You bring him in and take one together.

I really see nothing wrong with it. All the examples above that are in favor of it are good circumstances. However, if you are in third grade and still doing it, then there might be a problem.

It comes full circle, initially at age 4 or 5 no more bare assed showers together, then when you are old and senile it is OK for the children to begin seeing you nude again and bathing you several times a day.

Hmm, I don't remember how old I was, but I can remember as a young child often that my mom would leave me to sit and watch tv in the room while she took a bath....But she would leave the door open so that she could hear and see if i ran by or anything. I can remember seeing her naked if she had just gotten out or something if I walked by. I was young enough that I didn't think twice about it and I don't think it was out of line on any part.
(Those who respond to my reply in an immature way are probably the people who just won't ever understand human nature....For what reason WOULDNT a young child be okay to see their parents naked?)

While I agree in theory, the thought of casually seeing my mother naked makes me feel uncomfortable. I don't think it's wrong exactly, I'd just prefer not to and I can't really explain why. (Someone will probably suggest that it's related to one's subliminal desire to have sex with one's mother and perhaps it is.)

The correct answer is 2-3 years old. I remeber things from when I was 4 years old. I also remember at age 5 (kindergarten) talking on the bus to school about rumors of kids' Moms that had been seen naked.
