He has a really famous painting of a world where solid objects are melting and whatnot nost notably a clock over a tree? It was also paradioed in a Simpsons episode.

Thank you so much, came acros smy mind at work and I could not for the life of me remeber his name or the name of the painting. I tried to look it up for hours before I realized OOT could bail me out.

He's perhaps my favorite artist of all. I went to two museums in Spain that featured his paintings, sketches, and sculptures. I actually prefered his work to Picasso's (gasp!), which I also saw a great deal of in Spain.

Dali was amazing, and I believe respect for his work will grow with time.
