Just did the golden palace sticky bonus.

Deposit $100, get $300(that you can never withdraw)

Played it like I should(?)

Bet all $400 on one hand.
As the odds would have it I lost.

Not a brutal hit to the bankroll, but I prepared myself for it.

Sucks, but its no biggie.

Anyone got anymore stickys similiar to this bonus (I dont expect to see a 300%, but a 150-200% would be nice)

Preferably I would like to hear from someone who has done the bonus (win or lose I dont care).

Thanks again all.

Bet $25/$50 per hand.

Your RoR was insane.

So what? It was only slightly below a 50/50 chance and he bet $100 with a chance to win $400. EV+++++++++++++

Never tried a sticky.

If you should win that first bet of $100, then what's next? Continue to bet $100/hand or....... what is the proper strategy?

The stickys are a ridiculous ROR but a great profit if you make it. I've only tried one so far and managed to cash.

Like the next poster said, if your bankroll is large enough, all you care about is EV, RoR doesn't matter.

Still never bet more than half on one hand as not being able to double does cut in your EV.

If you want to wager everything in one hand, I'd recommend Baccarat or Pai Gow (Though check carefully to see that they are allowed).

These house advantage in these games is much better than blackjack IF you aren't able to split or double.

Betting half of your balance on blackjack until you hit your target is probably a better idea.

I did the same thing with the Golden Palace bonus and was able to cash. I just need to send them my ID's and I'll have a $300 profit ($100 deposit + $300 sticky, won my first bet to get to $800 and then lost $100 finishing up my wagering requirements). There are other casino's in the same group as Golden Palace that include Aspinall's, Grand Online, Flamingo Club, and 24kt Gold. These casinos only have a 200% deposit bonus though.

I have only done Grand Online from that group and tried it the same way, but lost my initial bet. Hope this helps.

There are formulas at the BW forums for sticky bet size and setting a sticky target based on your bankroll. That being said, you can't go terribly wrong by just betting big (less than or equal to half your balance) and going for a big score, assuming your BR isn't miniscule.

Set a target. Usually 2x your deposit+bonus is good, but should be larger depending on your bankroll.

Bet around 1/4 of your balance each hand as you want to be able to split and double.

Reach target and cash out after fulfilling WR with smaller bets.

What's the difference if you have 11 v D6 with $200, and you can now double, or you put all $400 in and hit the same hand, but just hit now ... ? I know there is likely technically a difference, but the end result is not different is it?

(You could just put $400 more in and double with that!)

Don't forget about splitting. Part of the reason the house advantage is so low in BJ is the ability to split and double. While you are correct with doubling your 11 vs having everything on it, you cannot split, which can be a big bummer some times.

And to the original poster, I have played a bunch of these stickys and have found that betting somewhere between 25-50 dollars a hand until I reach the WR and then reevaluating has been the best strategy for me.

I have heard 3 startegies:

1. Bet all first hand
2. Bet 1/5 of chips every hand
3. Bet 25-50 per hand

Whats the WR, and does the sticky disappear if you cashout??

If so I would go 400, then 800 if I win, then cashout; thats how risky Id want to take it.

If not Id just do 400, then withdraw 500 after meeting WR, and keep going 300 withdraw until I busted it

If your bankroll can afford the swings the the RoR favors the monster $400 initial bet.
It saves TIME and increases your hourly.

1. You CAN NOT withdraw the $300 bonus EVER
2. As soon as you make your FIRST WD the bonus is taken back by the casino.
3. The WR for Golden Palace is 4x D+B
4. Stickys never disappear

Let me know if 5-10 are needed...

Thanks, Im gonna go ahead and do this, try and make a quick 1200 bucks. The only Q I have now is:

5) How long are cashouts?
6) Do they try not to pay you and call you a bonus whore?
7) Do they ask for 38 types of ID to be faxed to them?

Your missing some fundamental issues.

#1 The chance of winning a single BJ hand when you have no double/split options is reasonably below 50%, any advantage BJ has over other casino games is totally gone, you might as well be playing roulette

#2 If you win your all-in bet, you've only completed 1/4 of the WR. Now what? If you continue to bet big your increasing your risk of ruin even further, and potentially ending up with no profit even if you do survive.

A proper sticky strategy will give you approximately even odds to reach your target, and is designed to reach your target as the WR closes so you won't be grinding out small bets for half an hour.

I used proper strategy on Golden Palace and it only took 10 minutes.

Simple.

$400 bet, can't double up:
You have 16 vs Dealer A - Probably lose all
You have 11 vs Dealer 6 - Probably win all

$200 bet, can double or split:
You have 16 vs Dealer A - Probably lose $200
You have 11 vs Dealer 6 - Probably win $400
