View Full Version : What's you SAT score?

09-27-2005, 03:47 AM
8 questions: Click two. One under your verbal score (first 4), and one for math (last four).

Edit: not the first four or latter four. I didn't arrange this poll like this, but the verbal & math has been jumbled & unarranged.

anybody have a bigger spread? The only person I ever heard of with a bigger spread was from Asia. He got like 760 math and 440 verbal.

770 verbal, 740 math.

When I took it again though I got like 680 verbal, so I'm pretty sure my first verbal score was a pretty bad outlier.

Oh well, it's not like it got me anywhere worthwhile anyways.

Not sure if the young-uns are aware, but the SAT was changed in the 1990's, such that an 800 math score is far more common now than in DS's day (or mine, for that matter). To wit: mensa does not accept recent SAT scores as evidence of "genius".

770 verbal, 510 math.

I think that's a bigger spread, but as you can see, you might wanna check my calculations.

Okay I got drunk the night before (18 pints of stella) got perfect scores in math and verbal, in the 12 minutes I had left at the end I worked out a perfect flat tax model, and accidentally proved that god doesn't exist.

That's nothing. I got to the exam half hour after it finished, proved god didn't exist, created one, and still got perfect scores and had time to write an election manifesto for a little pink pussy-cat.

Jesus, I thought my 160 point disparity in scores was large! haha.

Btw, how do you get THAT CLOSE to 800 but not get it? FWIW, I blew through the Math, and knew how to do every problem, but got nowhere near 800? I'm kind of an idiot, so I probably filled out the sheet wrong. Plus, I'm lazy so I never re-took the test b/c my score was good enough to get me where I was going.

Lol, I got 330 verbal the first time, and 400 the second time I took it. After college, in which I majored in philosophy, I went into a transition to teaching program. I had only two college English classes so I had to take a test that the teachers have to take after they finish school to prove they are competent to teach. I had to take this before they would let me into school, and placed in the top ten percent in the nation. I barely got my name right on the SAT, but am rated as highly competent to teach Middle/High school students. Go figure. Oh and I got 700 on the math so my spread blows all the others away. And, not only was I drinking the night before, I was still drunk; both times.

Edit: Just read this thread again and realize I do not have the highest gap. Mine was only 700-360 vs. EP's 790-440. Damn.

It was a reference to a Saved by the Bell episode that I thought someone would for sure pick up on, though I haven't given it a lot of time.

I've seen my fair share of these stupid SAT score threads, but this one is particularly awesome. Notice how many brilliant people there are that scored higher than 750 on both sections. How the "If math score is 750 to 800... verbal score is 750 to 800" votes do not equal the "If verbal score is 750 to 800... math score is 750 to 800," I do not know.

Maybe because Zach got a 1520, and not 1502!?!?

From memory, I think Screech got a 1490, Lisa got an 1150 (Yeah right), Kelly got 10 something and Slater got 10 something, Jesse, I don't remember, maybe 1250? I know she was p*ssed at Zack though.

You make a good point about the poll, though. I noticed this, too. These "brilliant" people can't figure out that they need to click the same thing twice.

Wow.

and then: zack saved by the bell "got a 1502"

Go buy a tent... then go camping. While camping, set up a "fire". Drink 10-16 beers and take your shirt off. Slowly walk backwards into the fire. Once you feel your backskin bubbling, you know the hair is gone.

There is another way to take care of back hair, but I forget what it is.

680 Math 600 Verbal. w/ slight hangover & lack of sleep.

That was pre-90s. Both scores were rated as being in the top 1% of all test takers and top 2% of college bound test takers. Would those scores still be rated that way, or do they still even show that rating?
