Thoughts on this MTT hand – Pacific $15 tourney

Blinds 200/400. Average tourney stack about 5000. 120 out of 600 or so remain. Top 60 make the money, but I was playing for the final table. No great reads since I was just moved to this table 1 orbit prior, but it seemed pretty tight so far.

UTG (2200 chips) min raises to 800. I push all in (7400 chips) UTG+1 with QQ. I am the chip leader at the table but a couple of opponents are close. Button (about 7000 chips) calls my all-in with KK, and I am severely crippled when I don’t improve.

Should I have just reraised, say to about 2500? If so, do you get away from the hand if the button pushes all in preflop? If the button just calls preflop, do you get all in on the flop which turned out to be all rags?

Unless you are putting a total move on someone, you don't want to put in 1/3 of your stack and then fold to a push. Your hand is too good to play it that way.
