Great call this past week telling me to pick the Colts thanks guys /images/graemlins/smile.gif I need another close to a lock this week. Here are the teams that I cannot use this week Bills, Eagles, Colts. What is the closest thing to a lock without these teams? There are 7 left in my pool if this helps at all.

Tampa Bay at home. The Lions are already falling apart and prolly wont score a TD on the road against a tough D.

I really like NYG...

lol, I have used the exact same teams. I am leaning towards going with cincy at home vs the texans this week.

I like them too ... to give up 50 to the Rams.

Cinci and tampa are the best 2 picks for sure, none of them are even close to those, I think I like cinci more.

Because they played so well on the road in week 1 and 2, I guess?

Thats part of it, but its more like process of elimination, as to me theres 10 games this week that I dont like touching in this type of pool, and of the remaining ones those are those I like the best.

I would take either Baltimore over the Jets who will be starting Brooks Bollinger at QB or Arizona over San Francisco. And yes, I know they are both 0-3.

K. Warner isn't playing sunday, I would stay away from AZ.

Agreed. I did not know this when I posted previously.

Warner was some help when he was healthy. lol To refresh some memories, Josh McCown led AZ to a number of wins last season w/o the aid of Anquan Boldin for half the season and a running game powered (unpowered?) by Emmitt Smith.

Ed: This isn't to say McCown is anything special. I just don't see a large difference between the two guys, not enough to suddenly bet San Fran +3 with the likes of their terrible defense.

If you want to play purely by spread, you should go with the Bengals versus the Texans. Pinny has it +380/-420, meaning the Bengals will win 80% of the time.

I grew up in Michigan and I would recommend staying away from the Lions this week. The Lions have an uncanny ability to lose a game they should win, then win a game they should lose, and then lose a game they should win. I am not saying the Lions will win this game I am just saying I like Cincinnatti a lot more then the Lions. Just my .02 from someone who has watched the lions underperform then overperform for 1 week and then go back to underperforming.

Cincinatti is the best pick this week.

I'm not saying I would bet SF, but I definitely see a difference between Warner and McCown.

I said a large difference.

Fair enough, although I think there is enough of a difference between them that although I had Kurt Warner starting for me in fantasy football, I haven't even thought about picking up McCown. That could always change if he shows me something.

In the context of the original post to this thread, I can't imagine why anyone in an elimination pool would dream of taking Arizona in any week, even at home against San Francisco. And the guy you replied to wasn't saying he'd bet San Francisco, he was just suggesting that we stay away from Arizona in this kind of pool. Good advice, no matter who is at QB.

Fantasy, forget it. lol
