I have my computer on over the night for data mining. A big problem with that is that I sit myself infront of it all the time instead of going to bed or doing something more worthwhile.

Is there a time lock or something I can put on my computer? That makes it inaccessible for X hours. So that I can't use it when I should be sleeping. Like a screen saver that turns itself of after 10h or so.

thanks!

There was a recent article in Fortune or NewsWeek magazine about an application that you can run that does just that. You choose a time limit and which apps you want to "lock" after x minutes and you are all set. I think there is a 32 character "unlock" code just in case you want to bypass the app.

Got any clue of what it's called and if it's a freeware?

This (http://www.aquariussoft.com/pc-lock-up/) might be it, or something very similar.

Not free but this might work for you: http://www.contentwatch.com/
I bought it to try and protect my kids but did not like it nor use it.
