I'm not sure if I played this correctly...
PLO8 $1-2
Hero: $284
BB: $165

Hero is on the button with 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif3 /images/graemlins/spade.gif4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif5 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

2 players limp, I limp, SB folds, BB raises to 6, limpers call, I call.

The BB was a complete idiot, so I didn't give much thought to his raise. He'd been raising any 4 and leading out of the flop about every other hand.

Flop comes A /images/graemlins/spade.gifA /images/graemlins/club.gif4 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. BB bets 1/2 pot, MP's fold, I call. I'm not sure about the call here, but I didn't give the guy credit for any type of hand.

Turn is the 5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. BB leads out for the pot, I...

If you can't fold this, go buy a gun and shoot yourself in the head. Or at the very least never play PLO8 again.

A23 has you in deep sh!t. And don't even get me started about AA23.

Poster's description of villain: "The BB was a complete idiot, so I didn't give much thought to his raise. He'd been raising any 4 and leading out of the flop about every other hand."

Yeah, good analysis. He has to have either A23 or AA23, maybe even AAA22334.

(Oops, I think I just fed a troll. My bad.)

Given your read, I think a call on the flop is OK... but it seems likely he at least has an ace, so be prepared to give it up on the turn if a brick comes and he pots it.

With that turn, I'd jam--sometimes you'll get 1/4'd, but if he truly is an idiot, you may already be in good shape to scoop.

If the pot will be big enough to get it allin on the river, I'd flat call. Otherwise, raise.

preflop and flop are fine.

I like the pre-flop call and flop call as long as you are willing to get away from this hand if it goes south.

On the turn I raise. I want to stack this guy and If he is as bad as you said he may give me his stack with a naked A (maybe a naked A w/ a bad low). The only way to stack him is to get more money into the pot so you can get all in on the river.

There's a Smasharoo and a Smasharooo at 2+2.

Shame on 2+2 O8 forum. Childish.
