just a brief rundown of teams to get some discussion going- cuase football rules.

Browns- start with the hometeam. This is a team that will likely be undervalued for a while. With two TD's taken off the board for penalties in week one, and another yesterday against the colts they have been competitive in every game. They have a lot of options on offense, and lee suggs will have this bye week to work back into rythm, Dilfer is a solid verteran with some talent at WR, and their running game is much improved with Droughns pounding the ball and the first passable offensive line in years.
With a new coach and lots of new personal this team should get better as the year progresses- Outlook 6-10.

Bengals- strong offensive team, defense unknown so far, could be overvalued as their competition hasn't been to stiff so far. Looking to take the under as the public will likely bet up their lines. outlook 10-6

Ravens- D seems to have dropped off, Jamal Lewis hasn't looked good, QB situation is a mess. Still they've played only two games, have this past week to try to get some rythm in the offense- will hold off on betting them untill can evaluate their performance next week. outlook 7-9

Steelers- Strong team, good D as always, good running game, good decisions by Worthlessburger. unlikely to have any outlandish lines, Cowher doesn't adjust well in games, but with his team he rarely needs to. outlook 12-4.

Bills- Losman looks like a lost cause already, and getting worse. Offense will struggle as opposing teams can blitz to rattle him and key in on the run. Mcgahee is good, but not Barry sanders- you can sen dyou whole D and still not stop me good, which is what he will need to be to carry this offense. D is still strong, will keep them in games, and get them some wins- should make for a lot of unders in the cold bufalo winter if Losman doesn't improve. outlook 8-8

Dolphins- way undervalued at the beginning of the year, decent D, weapons on offense and a competant QB. How will they play up north when the weather gets cold? They actually have a running game this year (which should improve with the stoned one returning) so perhaps they won't take the traditional collapse late in the season. outlook 10-6

Pats- Haven't looked great, have a hell of a tough schedule, some miscues that are to be expected with new players/brand new coaching staff. The difference between the Old NE D and this one is that this one drops INTs more often. they showed that they are still the cream by beating pittsburgh yesterday, another playoff run at 13-3.

J-E-T-S - SuckSuckSuck!. Well, they aren't THAT bad, but it looks pretty tough for them next week. no QB, an average Defense, Martin a little dinged up, will struggle with a not easy schedule, Edwards as their coach doesn't help things much. 5-11. Maybe.

Jaguars- undervalued before the season, this team has looked tough every time they step on the field, Strong D, good offensive weapons, Can the Sandwich be consitant? maybe if he keeps getting hurt, he seems to play better when in pain. This team is good, and i'm looking for a couple of playoff wins here. 12-4.

Texans- they stink. are you gonna bet on this team? i'm not, they seem to be takin ghte Browns' route of staying an expansion franchise for as long as poosible in the hope of extra pity picks in the draft.

Colts- Offense isn't the same so far, but neither is the defense so they are still winning, with a relatively easy schedule they should pick up homefield which is their only chance of beating the pats in the postseason. Hmmm, i wonder if that was on the NFL's mind when they set up the schedule. Perhaps years of watching Belicheck slow them down has clued some other coaches in, and they will have to make adjustments themselves to turn their offense back around. And maybe they are just trying out some new more controll oriented offensive systems to try to keep their D from being on the field over and over again after bombs. Either way looking for unders untill they start to show more punches on O, as they should continue to have higher overs for a while. outlook 14-2 homefield.

Titans- should have beaten the rams, henry suspended will leave Chris Brown with the bulk of the work which will leave CB with injuries (just a hunch). A splendidly average team all around, will have a below average season having to play the colts and the jags twice 6-10.

Broncos- Guess it wasn't just the system afterall, their running game isn't what it used to be. Plummer is good enough to beat bad teams, but throws up goose eggs against the good. His 95 yrd fumble for the over was the highlight of week one. The Broncos D isn't good, still have a homefield advantage- will be betting against them on the road. 8-8 no playoffs for you shannahan.

KC- Attempts to keep priest healthy pay off this season, a tough schedule will keep them from home field in the playoffs, and we should see Vermiel crying after a second round playoff loss. They sure are fun as hell to watch, and their D is improved. Unders against overvalued offensive teams. 11-5.

The Raiders. The Best 0-3 team in the league. Won't lose forever, but are gonna have a hell of a time making the playoffs. Inablity to get a big defensive stop when they need it is gonna hurt them all year. They loose the close ones and blow out the mediocre and bad teams. a good late season run leaves them at 7-9.

Chargers. Manic depressive D- some drives they look strong, others like they are a junior college team. Offensive weapons, in good weather will put a lot of points up, in bad they will slow things down a lot and get some unders. A tough schedule and an 8-8 finish and maybe schottenheimer will finally be out of football.

Cowboys- One push and two non covers they seem to be overvalued by the public against other average teams. they will continue to pull out close wins as parcells makes better adjustments at halftime. Perhaps some halftime lines are in the making for this team. 8-8.

Giants- Eli has his best game yet, and they get crushed. 2-1 thanks to the generous saints and clippers- er cardinals. when they start losing do you think Coughlin will keep them together? I don't, bad finish going 1-4 in the last five games leaves them at a measly 6-10 for the year.

Eagles- good as always- mcnabb plays through the pain of TO and his injuries, their timeing hasn't been good so far, and i hate the eagles. Still they are a playoff team, but it looks like Vick found a way around their defense finally, and when they visit they falcons in the playoffs they will lose. 12-4

REdskins- good to finally see someone come out of retirement and be a good coach. Strong D, bet the under in points, the over in wins. 10-6, Ramsy on the bench is a beatiful thing.

Bears- In ter ception. were overvalued because of detroit, but should come back down after being exposed at home against cinnci. Against teams that can't (or wont) stop the run they can control the game with their D and one of the Jones' triplets. not to many wins, but unders abound. with Detroit, cleveland, minnesota and NO in their next 5 games they will have delusions of adequacy. These will be shattered by the 49ers? the bears fall apart, finish 9-7, get bounced in the first round, but thats what you get for winning the worst division in football.

Detroit-everyone seems to know how awefull this team is, still they are only second worst in this division, as evidenced by their 4 wins.

Green bay- worst team in their division! worst team in the league? close. Perhaps Farve pulls out a few miricle wins, but more likely they finish up 3-13. And its the end of an era as he retires, sherman gets fired and they Hire.... Mike Tice? Nah, no ones that dumb.

Vikings- they're not as bad as you think...but they are close. Culpepper has enough ability to beat crap teams like NO- and fortunatly for him he has detroit and greenbay Twice- EACH!. 7-9. Bye bye mike Tice. Now that actually might be addition by subtraction.

Falcons- Homefield would be huge in the playoffs, and thats what they are going for. the loss against seattle shows their inherant inconsistancies, but the 13-3 record gives them homefield and a good shot at the SB. Ohh, and Vick is fun to watch.

Panthers- Overvalued- but any team that is SI's pick to win the SB always is. Their win against NE keeps them overvalued for a few more weeks, as will thier cheap win in GB next week, ohh and then Arizona and then Detroit. Minnesota, tampa bay- The jets??? who did they blow to get this schedule? Making the playoffs at 10-6 can't erase the taste of gallons of seamen, and they get bounced.

Saints- Bad, but things could be worse, if Katrina hadn't hit then the poor fold of NO would have been subjected to an entire season of home games. They are bad. record x-15x seems like a good prediciton.

Tampa bay- better than i expected. The caddy drives them (goddamn i am going to be sick of stupid headlines like these by the end of the year, but he is a frickin stud.) they would be a sleeper except they are 3-0 already.

West wrap up
Cardinals have three "good" games a year. If only i knew which ones they were going to be
Rams- everyone knows martz is a buffoon, except the betting public and the owner of the rams. Constantly overvalued against solid teams.
49ers- Hey theyer good, no they suck, hey theyre average! Well not really- they will be poopooed evertime they get blown out and should be some easy covers in their next game as they get treated with the scorn and contemp that should be reserved for Mike holmgren and the
Seahawks. You know mike you don't look so good without farve. SA carries your team to a second place finish behind (and you should shoot yourself for this) martz and the Rams.

Only one i read so far, I'm an eagles fan so I skipped to it

If you watched the falcons game (and it was on monday night so you have almost no excuse not to have) you'd know that vick didn't really "find away" around their D...they scored 14 whole points with our starting all-pro middle linebacker ejected from the game, and mcnabb working an injury that still has him Day-to-day...the eagles only scored 10 points, our Defense didn't lose that game, our offense did.
