I'm okay with this. You're in th SB (right?) so out of position with AK, which is never fun. Just taking the 165 chips is fine.

i use this play also. nothing wrong with it. if 77 calls you so be it. also, surprising how often, AQ, and KQ call.

I kind of like this because it allows others to wrongly label you as a donk for vastly overbetting the pot (assuming everyone folds). Besides far too many times people will call you with a weaker ace making this a +EV play.

Personally, I would only do this if there is a perpetual (spite) caller on the table. Maybe it's too early in the game. I like this to vary may game, but in general I raise to 150 or something and bet the same (2/3 pot) if I hit or not.

ppl don't pay enuff attention IMO, if you did that at lvl 4 maybe...but this is a good 20 minutes from the bubble
