Villain is something like 40/15, 1.5. I don't remember excactly. On the other hand I don't think I percieved the exact numbers at the time of play either.

HAND 1:

Party Poker 10.00/20.00 Hold'em (6 handed) link (http://www.darksun.lunarpages.com/poker/)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif.
1 folds, MP calls, CO calls, Hero raises, 1 folds, BB calls, MP calls, CO calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 4/images/graemlins/club.gif (4 players)
BB checks, MP checks, CO checks, Hero bets, BB calls, MP raises, CO folds, Hero 3-bets, BB folds, MP caps, Hero calls.

Turn: (8.75 BB) 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
MP bets, Hero calls.

River: (10.75 BB) 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
MP bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12.75 BB.

What do you think is a better line
A) 3-bet flop + fold turn if capped
B) call down
C) Something else?

yah its just too likely that villain has a flush draw. its a terrible spot to be in but you have to call down and i dont think its close.

How often are you limping/raising/folding in this spot preflop? Assuming CO is unknown to us.

i raise if the SB and BB are relatively tight. if they are loose then i limp. i never fold.

Should I have just called the flop?

And the raised the turn and folded to a 3-bet or called down depending on the siuation.

I don't think so. It is a very good thing to face BB with two more cold.

This is too expensive when MP has a monster and you call down and I don't like folding because you forfeit your chances to suck out on the river. It is also possible (although less likely I think) that he may overplay a hand worse thinking than yours simply because he thinks you are unlikely to have any of that board.

I think calling down is clearly best.

Does that really change much? Its unlikely MP was on a flush draw.

I can see MP playing a FD this way. Hes not capping the flop with a worse 9 here. Its either a draw or a set. The 5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif completes both.

You go for the swannies Arturius?

He could be, but I doubt it. Its not for value as its heads up. I guess donks play their hands in weird and wonderful ways.

I'd fold on that turn. I wouldn't feel entirely good about it though.

If you think the villian has a flush draw very rarely when capping the flop, do you still call down in the original hand? If so, what hands do you think he has that give us sufficient equity and odds to call down?

I'd fold it too. If the turn blanked and the river was a diamond, would you fold that? I'd like to, but I probably couldn't in the heat of battle. I hate folding rivers. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'd probably call then. Getting such terrific odds. I think an opponent is crazy often enough for a river call to be profitable. Can't say I'm sure though.
