No we had it down yesterday, until a bunch of idiots who dont pay attention started being morons and posting. I proposed that we get it so a mod gets teh 25$ and we use it to buy a community porn pass for OTT or try to parlay it with sngs etc/

I take offense to that. You've ingored me, ok fine, but I don't see why you should suggest this to others without any reason.

It looks like two friends can guarantee themselves $5. Person B just posts right away after person A, and then they both wait the 24 hours. What the other posters do no longer matters.

No, we just have 3 people from this thread post, a mod post saying that anyone who posts next will be IP banned from twoplustwo, and explain we are sharing a porn pass, etc. And then make this thread sticky.

A threat like that will not work. Someone can create a phony account on a friend's computer to avoid the IP ban, even if that were possible.

Plus Mat won't abide such threats over a stupid contest.

You can create an account sure, but you cant read the forums from your house. An ip bans that a certain IP cant access the site at all, not just create an account or login.
And GoT Id bet will help us out. Just do a search for the thread- an experiment-, and read that.

The idea is that you make the post in the thread from the friend's computer too (right after you register the new account), so there is no connection to your computer whatsoever.

The banned IP is from a computer that normally does not access 2+2 at all (just the one time).

But ignore all the IP nonsense above, and read....

THE REAL DEAL:
With my plan, the $5 is guaranteed. With yours, the odds are slim that some dodo won't make that one extra post (probably by unintentionally having not read and comprehended the thread properly).

With all the discussion about clean computers for Party skin signups, I would think you would understand what I am saying above. (Different computer = different IP) How can they ban your IP, if you don't use it in connection to that thread?

Now you need to decide when to make your followup post in that thread.

I would suggest doing it about 6AM EST tomorrow when the fewest number of people are online (Monday morning).

Then, bump a bunch of threads (and start new ones), so the thread quickly fades off the front page.

Plus, make a deal with poster B. With iluzion, this should be no problem, he is a good guy.

Its just that for the most part, everyone can guess the end result of these pretty easily, they aren't really going to be an experiment in OOT because of the prevailing attitudes here.

Any contest where any single poster can screw everybody will never end well for us. There are too many stupid posters, too many hateful posters, etc.

The money is to small for anyone here to take serious. Dudes are paying $100 for avatars. $25 is a joke to everyone here so they screw with the experiment for kicks.
