View Full Version : Beware the Approaching Dragon...

01-30-2002, 12:12 PM
The Dragon of the Hold'em Wars is by far the greatest enemy on any Hold'em battle field. A fire breathing monster of doom who can burn up chips faster than white on rice. This creature has power from the darkest side of evil and can appear without the slightest warning. Before you can blink and eye this Dragon will have your chips melting like ice on a hot skillet. While you try and scramble to find a defensive maneuver that will save you form poverty and the soup lines. This flying bat from hell is your worst nightmare and until you slay this pyromaniac, you will never be safe from it's rage. The effect of his rage is known as THE STATISTICAL CLEANSING.

Unfortunately you can't hide from his glassy eyes, nor can you out run the stench of his fiery breath. Some say his will can be broken with a tight and aggressive strategy but all the evidence shows he can destroy any allusion of resistance. The Dragon of the Hold'em Wars is no minor demon seeking the thrill of victory. He is a relentless sequential perpetrator of disaster, from which there is no definitive escape.

Our only hope of cleansing ourselves of this unholy demented Dragon is to look for the warning signs. Even the thought that he might be coming should be more than enough motivation to be AWOL, before he arrives on the battle field of the Hold'em Wars. Those who ignore this danger will find themselves leaning on the rail, wondering what happened to all their hopes and dreams of becoming a General of the Hold'em Wars.

You won't find any written sigh saying Dragon approaching. You must learn to listen to your five senses and then you must act swiftly, before it's to late, for he is fast and deadly. Delusions of grandeur will excrete an odor which will bring a Dragon to the surface of reality. The over confident warrior will be consumed by the fire of defeat before he can blink an eye. The most common sign of an approaching Dragon is fatigue, ignored fatigue and he will blister your backside raw. Leaving you standing in the free buffet line. While you tell the hostess you'd rather stand at the bar, than take a seat in the main dinning room.

Dragons live deep in the mind of Hold'em warriors, the gates of will power may keep them in check, but when you least expect it they will devour your will and ravage your bank roll. Be on the look out for the early warning signs of an approaching Dragon.
