FWIW, I usually smooth-call the flop, then raise on the turn.



Easy river raise.

I raise this 100%, he's not so passive that he'll just call a flop raise with AA. The only other thing you're afraid of is a slow played K, but given the fact you've got 1 and you didn't get popped on the turn - I raise and pay him off if he 3 bets. My guess is you ended up looking at AQ or a desperation bluff by a TT/JJ/QQ.
