View Full Version : Favorite soup?
I've been buying the Cambell's Soup at Hand - It's bomb. Usually sip on chicken noodle, but now its tomato soup. Anyways, what is your favorite type of soup?

Storebought-Campbell's Chicken Corn Chowder
Restaurant-Gumbo from Pappadeaux's (http://www.pappadeaux.com/)
The Zuppa Toscana at Olive Garden is pretty good. Sausage, potatoes, and some leafy vegetable in a thin white broth.
Also, bouillabaisse. It's a spicy french soup with all kinds of seafood in it.

Hard to beat a good bouillabase. It's a bit of a project to make, but not entirely impossible. Lots of ingredients, but none of the individual steps are particularly daunting.
From a can, I like Progresso's clam chowder.

I would not consider Bouillabase a soup.

Fine. If you're going to get picky, it's more of a stew. Also, it's basically just not as good without Mediterranean fish, which is unfortunate.
If you're not willing to agree on "stew", what would you call it?

Sweet potato and andouille sausage soup at Irene's in New Orleans. It was so good, I was tempted to tell them to forget the entree and bring me another bowl. Here's hoping New Orleans comes back as good as ever.
