My dad went to the emergency room this morning. He's had an angioplasty and a stent in the past and he's having an angiogram tomorrow. I have tickets to the Seahawks game tomorrow. He wants me to go to the game. My mom and brother and sister say I should just go to the game, they'll call me with updates. If he has to stay another night at the hospital tomorrow I'd go after the game, otherwise I'd go to his house after the game. What would you do??

Depends on who they're playing.

If he has the procedure tommorow, and there is a possiblity that he can go home sunday night, its not that major? I would go to the game if this is the case.

Depends on the results...if its not serious he'd go home tomorrow, if it is he'd stay.

If he says you can go and the condition is not life threatening, then you can go.

Is this game really really important to you?

Isn't an angiogram just a blood vessel x-ray?

I think that if you 1. dont think the game is that important, B. may not enjoy the game as much because you will be thinking about your pops, you would be better off just not going, and will feel better after all is said and done.

Since he is going in for tests..

If he wants you to go...go. Don't make him feel like he is keeping you somewhere.

This is a toughie, pretty marginal either way. Seahawks vs Cardinals shouldn't be the be-all and end-all of the season, though I'll be damn pissed if the 'Hawks can't finish the Cards off.

And it doesn't seem that you father will be doing anything major.

All in all, if you can go to the game without worrying about your dad, go. If you can't, don't go, and stay for the tests, no matter how boring it is. You can watch the game on TV.

My guess is he and the rest of the family are gathering to prepare his last will and testament. It is clear you are being cut out so just go enjoy the ballgame.

Well, you only have 1 dad, and there will be plenty of seahawks games. But if its not serious, like no chance of death, then I say you might as well go to the game anyways.

angiogram == go to the game.
angioplasty == go to the waiting room.

Hey Kerssens, I live across the street from the stadium, if you do decide to go, PM me and I'll hook you up with some free parking

kerssens

I may take you up on that some time, but tomorrow I'll be there at 10ish so free parking won't be a problem.
