Hello,

For the moment I'm using the Suits Chips Heavy Plastic 11.5 gram. I bought them awhile ago. They're pretty good. But I've been to a cardroom and there they have much nicer and heavier chips. Now I'm looking for similar chips. Heavier then 11.5gram and custom clay. I e-mailed a company that make authentic casino chips. But those are only 8-9 grams. Does anyone know where I can find heavier chips?

Thanks.

By far the best place i've seen to buy direct (you can find similar deals on ebay if you wait around awhile) is from this site:

Hey Sarge,

Thanks for the link, but those are the chips we use. Those are clay injected chips. I'm looking for the real stuff.
Like these: http://www.pokerchips.com/advertising/adchips.html
But heavier. I want them to be at least 11.5gram.

Here are a couple of sites that offer decent options:

I've been looking for awhile now. But I still can't find chips heavier then 11.5gr.
All casinos have them, so why can't we buy those?

How about these Hung? I'm not sure if they are 11.5, but I hear these are nice and for a buck a chip they better be.

Peace,
Joe

Those are what I have and I really like them. They are the same weight as casino pokerchips.

If you don't mind parting with some $$, consider getting Top Hat & Cane brand chips. They look splendid, but might cost $.40 each (or even more).

I went ahead and got some 11.5 gram Deluxe Diamonds from 5stardeal.com after winning an auction on Ebay. They're at least as nice as the ones used in the cardrooms around here. You should be able to get a set of 500 delivered (with an aluminum case) for $140 quite easily.

For the moment I'm using these chips. Those are really good. And they're 11.5gr. Real clay feeling. But they only have one color and it's not really clay. I must say those are the best I have ever seen for homegames. But i've been to a cardroom and they have way better looking chips. They're a little heavier. I think arround 13-14gr.

Thanks for all your replies. Those two last sites are looking good. I'm gonna e-mail them.

Larryjoe, the chips look good, but they're only 9gr. That's not heavy enough. I'm afraid they'll fly away if I play outside /forums/images/icons/wink.gif /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I would even pay $1/piece if they're nice.

Thanks for this link. They look great. But they cost $2 a piece. mmmh, a bit too much for me... $1 or 1.25 is ok. But 2 bucks for a chip is above my budget.

Only the first set of chips with the metal centers (the Bud Jones) is $2/chip (I know, these are the most attractive) - the rest are all under $1/chip - I think the Paul Son chips also look quite nice at around .60/chip, but I am not sure how heavy they are. Just a heads up in case you assumed all the chips were the same price. Also, did you check out this page on the same site:

http://www.nevadajacks.net/mall/NJ.htm

It has a few more chip sets that look nice.

I don't know how ambitious you're feeling, but you could mint "chip" coins for under a dollar a chip if you are interested in going to those lengths.

If you're interested, I will get you details.
