why would you POSSIBLY be unhappy w the result? you made aloose raise PF and if the flop re-raise is called, you have a very tough decision. be glad you won.

Okay, you're happy to take a flaming, that's at least an encouraging sign.

Your hand preflop is pretty ropey here (at best).

When you hit the ace, there is nothing wrong with raising the flop as you did, but you need to breathe a heavy sigh of relief when you've won the hand.

You have to think what he's called a raise with preflop. Is it an ace? If so how big? Probably bigger than AT? Most likely.

Is it a pair? If so the only way he puts more chips into this pot is if he hits his boat..... not really very pretty.

How about a KQ clubs... yep, again possible but we really don't want to give the man free cards here /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Finally, has he got a six? Well, he might have 67 or 56 suited, but it's unlikely after he has bet. When you raise him, you find out for sure here.

If you just call here, you find out nothing, you give free cards and you encourage him to bet again when you really don't like your hand much.

Get this raise in like you did, and pray he folds. We are not trying to extract chips here, we are praying we are in front.
