Hey guys.

Just curious how many BJ hands I would need before I could prove that I was just a slightly losing player. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

(Wow, sounds like a rather odd goal, doesn't it?)

What are you trying to prove, exactly? Everyone is a losing player at blackjack in the long run, unless one is a card counter, and this wouldn't be possible over the internet.

Everyone is a losing player, but not everyone is "just a slightly losing player" like the OP is asking. To the OP, you can actually 'prove' this without analyzing your results, as long as you always make the same decision in the same circumstances. You can then see the EV of every decision you make an calculate the house edge you are giving up from that.

Basically, though, you should know if you are a slight loser without looking at your results. If you follow a chart / suggested strategy 99% of the time, you are a slight loser.

edit: If you want your question answered literally, try posting in the probability forum. They could probably give you what you want to know.

Makes sense.

FWIW, Paradise Poker has play money blackjack with a hand history option, if you want to review your play.
