View Full Version : Value raising TPTK vs dual LAGs

OK, value betting is now almost second nature to me, but I am still trying to get a handle on value raising. Heads up against CO I would probably 3-bet this turn, but the presence of the second lag made me a bit gun-shy. Who's firing again at this turn?

The 2 donks in this hand are uber-LAGs.

MP2 is 63/17/1.12 and has made a number of questionable postflop raises, including capping a Q-rag-rag flop with pocket TT against a preflop TAG capper with position on him (yours truly).

CO is 68/24/1.15 and has made similar thin postflop raises.

My table image is irrelevant since it is a table full of nitwits.

That 3rd guy makes me more likely to raise than if it was heads up since we don't need to have as much equity to raise for value. Personally I 3 bet if he's as bad as you say, and has taken that agression to the turn before.

Hmm, interesting...I've never thought of a premium made top pair hand against 2 players as a "value" raise...I've reserved such thinking for flush draws and the like. Methinks you have shown me a way to make a small improvement in my flop play /images/graemlins/ooo.gif
