adderall xr - faster way to get in system?

i have an Rx for adderall xr, its a time release so it burns over longer period of time..

is there a way to take the adderall capsules so they aren't time released? i thought i'd heard that if you opened the capsules and chewed the stuff inside it would take away the time release.

is this true? is this safe?

If you crush and snort time-release drugs they'll hit you faster and (significantly) harder. If you crush and swallow them, they'll hit you faster.

This is not to say that either is a good idea. It shouldn't kill you, however.
