7CS/8 Ante question

Hello all, my first post in this particular forum. I have a question concerning the .50/1 stud/8 game at Party/Empire. The ante is ridiculously high at 25 cents, compared to Pokerstars, which is a mere nickel. Is this game at Party playable, and how much would you loosen up your starting hand requirements? The game, as you might suspect, is very loose and the pots become very big. Or, should I just play at Pokerstars? Thanks in advance /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

As long as the players are bad enough, and the rake not too excessive, it should be beatable. The large ante works to the good player's detriment, but all the other players are anteing $.25 too. I don't think I'd loosen up at all. You're still going to have to show down the best hand. Stick with solid starters, and know when to push it and when to get out.
