So my one friend and I have an idea to motivate each other so we can get into shape. We both just finished college last year and now how decent jobs so we can afford to go to the gym. We need some ideas on how to run this competition because we both have totally different body styles. I think I can lose weight while he’s more the type to just turn it into muscle. So I’m unsure on how we should judge the computation. We plane doing the competition until next spring and we both put up 100$. But neither one of us will be working out at the same gym.

So how should we judge this to see who has really gotten into shape better in the end.

Don't make it a spelling bee or a grammar competition.

Just have your body fat % professionally measured at the beginning and end of the bet - biggest loss as a percentage of initial body fat % wins.

I'd suggest bowling in the spring

I'll second the body fat suggestion if bowling doesn't suit your needs
