Starting tomorrow I'm playing for one week without looking at my account balance. I'd like to play 200 tournies during this week, which is alot for me. When I sign up for a tourney I'll give the screen the old 'squint eye' so I can't decipher my account balance. I just want to see what if feels like.

You can't avoid knowing what your account balance is when you can't join the next sng.

I think checking my account balance obsessively is +EV. It may even be +$/hour.

That would mean I just experienced a 100+ downswing. I would probably never recover.

Totally just a different psychological effect that it has on me. I'm fortunate enough to not have to worry about money (and scared enough to play really low stakes), so I play poker entirely to see higher numbers in my bank account/the cashier. Not looking at the cashier would, I think, make me scared either to lose chips or to give up a pot. Looking makes me think only about what makes that number go up by more more frequently.

Not sure if that makes sense, but it helps me.

200 tourneys a week? That's 28 a day. That's 2.8/hr (assuming 10 hours of play).

I think you should consider getting some professional help, you clearly have a problem.

From a poker point of view, I doubt that playing that much at once will improve your game, or your bankroll.

You probably won't remember any of it the following week; you are addicted.

GL.

You'll notice I initially said 200 tournies a week was alot for me. Some weeks I go crazy, some weeks I don't play at all. Whatever I feel like. Next week I think I'll go crazy. And I 4 table the 33's which is closer to 4 tournies an hour.

Umm, don't keep 100 buyins in your poker account. In your roll, fine, good even. Over many accounts, fine, again good even. But not in 1 acct! Do you see why?

i work and go to grad school and i still can easily get in 12-18 in the evenings when i play on main comp, not laptop

4-tabling continuously = 6/hour, so he only has to play 4.5 hours/day to get 200/week

if he plays 40 hours/week, he'll get closer to 250 than 200...

some on here even 20-table...so they can get in 200 in a few hours

Risk. That's all. It probably is perfectly safe, but in the unlikely event someone else gains access to your account, you're limited in liability to the amount you have in your account. For example, my roll is just a little larger than yours. I keep 15 buyins in each acct, 30 buyins in Neteller, and the rest gets cashed to my bank account / whatever device I then want to invest in for safe keeping.

If I ever have my password stolen or for some reason I am mistakenly accused of something fraudulant I don't lose my whole roll. My access to my roll is the same as yours with way lower risk. Do what you want, but there's no reason to keep your whole roll on one site.
