In 2005, Nick Fury was a sergeant in the US Army from January 1, 2005
to June 30, 2005. His salary from the US government was $2,500 per month and he was stationed in Iraq for three months. Nick was discharged from the Army on June 30th. On July 1, he began work for Halliburton Corporation providing security services in Iraq. He was paid $20,000 per month from July 1 to December 30, 2005 by Halliburton. How much of his earnings are taxable in 2005?
