I think it's awesome that this thread started less than 24 hours after this. (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=3453808&page=0&view=c ollapsed&sb=5&o=21&vc=1)

I wouldn't even mind this (lunch) thread if it came up every day, not that it needs to.

I like to have a different lunch nearly every day. I don't change my tipping philosophy every day.

I'm sure if you wait long enough, someone will start a "Best item at Chipotle" thread. Or you could just find one of the thousands of Chipotle threads in the archives.

Grilled chicken, broccoli, zucchini, and boiled white rice all topped with a spicy peanut sauce in a burrito. I usually don't go balls out for lunch, but it was worth it.

meh.... I'm a fan of the strips myself. If you like tenders you should try brakebush... they're really good!

I've heard of peanut butter in shakes, but it sounds disgusting to me, and it's hard to imagine it not gunking up.

I've heard of raw oatmeal in shakes but that sounds really really strange too, like it would turn things into a powdery thick glop. It's very hard to convince myself that it would be good.

Really not all that hard to make...took maybe 15 minutes. The aioli's a couple egg yolks, a little salt/pepper, 2-3 cloves of garlic, some lemon juice and a bunch of olive oil. You need to soak the saffron for 30+ minutes before adding it, but that doesn't take any effort. My lunch probably cost about $3-4 + wine. Plus now I have leftovers.

That said, a burger's a good lunch too and one of my standards.

Yeah, I guess it's a little bit of sugar, but more than half of it is from the banana...can't help it, I love bananas.

Never tried peanut butter or oatmeal...neither one really sounds too appealing to me.

Thursday is Safeway sandwich day. This is because it used to be pool party day (the pool closed on Labor Day) and I'd just get a sandwich to eat poolside. Now it's just Safeway sandwich day. I better get going - I'm starving.
