I was randomly lurking through some posts cause I was bored and this sh!t is disturbing. I'm not saying there aren't a lot of hilarious posts in this forum, because there are. And I'm not saying that most of the threads are racist or that most of the posters are racist. It is quite the opposite.

With all that out of the way . . . There is way too much ignorance, hate, prejudice being spewed around here. I think the replies to Chuddo's thread about the fighting videos was just too much for me. I really feel embarrassed that some of those comments are on 2+2.

I have not noticed much racism in oot at all but then I didn't read the fighting video thread you're referring to. I'm too lazy to go back and look up old threads so you'd have to enlighten me. In general oot posters are not so much racist as they are just plain silly but I would say that they are not afraid to speak their mind.

Just because i said that its F'ed up all the videos where black people doesnt mean im rasist and i really think that my question about blacks wanted to get into fights and alot of times for no real reason comes from personal experience. Since i went to a HS that had 50% black people in it. And almost every day there was some kind of situation envolving a black person.

If 50% of the people were green, I would anticipate that almost every day, a green person would be be involved in something. It's pretty simple math, although if your math is as good as your spelling, then I understand the confusion.

Not really. Let's say 50% green, 50% non-green. 1 incident a day occurs, say. If it's equally distributed and colour is not an issue/measure of behavioural tendencies, then incidence would be:

25% : green-green
50% : green-nongreen
25% : nongreen-nongreen

So in actuality, 75% of incidents would involved 'greens'.

You are right - I've double-counted the green/nongreen number of interactions. For a green, 50% of interaction would be green, 50% would be nongreen, and same for non-green. The mix would be the same actual number, so it is indeed 1/3 of each type.

Even if you are correct, it supports general idea that in a pool of 50/50 between 2 colours, you'd expect an incident well over 50% of the time if you consider only one of those colours.

I'm even more bored now.

think of it as flipping a coin 2 times.
25% - heads-heads
25% - tails-tails
50% - heads-tails + tails-heads

just when involving a situation there is no sequence.
