Some advocate never laying down KK. But I don't agree. Assuming equal stacks, at SSNL, its pretty easy to 'spot the aces' with the preflop raising. I'm willing to say that, unless someone is a known maniac, at SSL the 3bet is aces 90% of the time.

Obviously, you have to take into account player reads (which you have done considering the tightness of the players).

On a related note: I saw a hand tonight... I saw 1 player raise PF, another player reraise and a 3rd player go all in. EVERYONE at the table knew it was aces against kings. And we knew the All In Player had the Aces. A king fell on the turn and we knew Kings had just beat the aces.

I think your folds were fairly reasonable conidering that you were up against rocks.

The first one I can't see being up against anything but aces, but the 2nd one, I could see QQ or maybe even JJ being played like this from a bad player

Yes, this is my impression as well... with his #s he's clearly not a "bad" player, but perhaps he overvalues pocket pairs?

I recall folding in a situation similar to Hand 1, I was *sure* that some1 had AA.

They both ended up all-in and the hand played out. The guy who limped after a limper and then pushed after a raise and a reraise had ATo, and the other guy had 99.

I felt dirty.
