gotta love this one

$.01-.02 table. yep, that's right...pennies!!!

passive table, not bad really. i limp in with K7s in Lmp somewhere.

4 or 5 see the flop

flop J 5 J two tone i have a flush draw

sb checks, bb bets, i raise, sb and bb call

turn. 3os

checked around

river J

checked to me, i bet, sb folds, bb thinks forever, then folds. for 2 cents

who says ya cant bluff on low limit? ya dont get much lower than this!!!!

come on b, you know as well as anyone that it's all about the table texture!

lol

you stole my mantra!!!

of course i know that..;)

i just remember the posts that generalized that you couldnt do it. heh heh

i was so shocked i pulled it off, i showed my hand. then the table went ultra aggressive, cap happy for about 1/2 hour, then calmed back down. it was kinda funny.

i guess another point i was making, though not the immediate one, was that if one is learning, you can find LL games to do it on. as you say, it's all about texture. if you want to learn to play a certain texture, learn it cheap. these baby tables are great to brush up on stuff and dink around. though there's no real money to be made on it. strictly discipline is what youre playing. very easy to overplay at a tiny table. but if you can keep in control there....

and my roll there is growing....hahahaha

started with $.15.

....then the table went ultra aggressive, cap happy for about 1/2 hour,...

.... and you made almost 15 big bets while it was out of line. LOL.

I played on these tables the other night, while I unwound, drank a beer, and did my bookkeeping, and notes for the night. They are kinda fun, and if you make a bad play, it doesn't hurt, but I am proud to say that I won $ .60 in about 45 minutes. Just wish that I could do that all the time in 5/10.

Hey guys. I play 1/4 cent and 1/2 cent right now and I want to move up.

How much bankroll should I have?
What should my starting hand requirments be?

Can you really average one BB an hour there, cause I need to pay off that bag of chips I put on layaway

1) A buck fidy...if you need some assistance I would be willing to be a backer.

2) Same regardless of limit being played.

3) Yes, the legends are true. You might even be able to win 2 BB's/hr! You might even be able to get a coke to go with those chips!

In most low limit home games, (not the ones played in Dynasty's apartment) a good player can probably make 4 or 5 bets an hour, because of the absence of rake. I think the micro-micro limits usually don't have rake, so I would expect that given the speed of play, you could maybe make as much as 10 big bets an hour at these limits. At .0025/.0050, it should only take about a week to get those chips, if you play well for a lot of hours.

it's not about the limit you're playing.

Since the term "bluff" means "making a better hand fold," I'm not 100% sure your dragging the pot was the result of a bluff.

Just my thought.
I'd be very suprised if you didn't have the best hand on the River Bernie. This IS micro-micro limit!

This is something I've been working on lately. This is one spot I haven't yet attacked in trying to increase my EV. While it is difficult to find spots I think it is absolutly worth trying to discover situations that arise. I was encouraged by a post that Clarkmeister put up that said something to the effect of "I know I'm not bluffing at an optimal rate because I don't get called down enough" combined with a different post that the Major put up that said something to the effect of "believe in the theory and trust that it'll all work out in the end" So while we're always being told "don't bluff in SS hold em because you'll get called down"...sure don't bluff unprofitable situations, but those times that you find profitable situation it feels great to pull it off succesfully.

Here is my favorite one so far:

i may have had the best hand, of course. but the point was the limit is so small, most would assume he'd call.
i've gone on bluff binges on 4-8 tables, and buffed on lower. you just have to recognize the situations when they start popping up in a session.

i didnt say i bluffed a better hand. i dont know if i had the best hand. i dont think the guy showed. but the point was i tried and it worked.

this is why most would expect someone to call here and not even bet in this spot. because it IS micro limit.
