PLO8 MTTs and STTs are by far my best game, but I haven't ventured into cash games much. I do play a lot of limit Omaha 8/b 6-max, if that's a help. Any tips that relate directly to cash games?

Depends on how soft the games are.
I would suggest only playing the lower
limits if you are Stars. Anything above
1/2 usually takes some effort to beat in
my experience.

Personally, I made a ton of money from
Omaha 8 MTT's and SnGs at Stars and then
I promptly lost it in ring games.
(Albet in the highest limits offered)

So, my advice, if you are Stars, is to
stick the tourneys, and try playing a
few weeks worth of .25/.50c to see if
you beat it consistently before moving
up, if you choose to play ring games.

(Note: Im still up $200 from a $5 loan playing Omaha 8)

bankroll management, try to keep a full stack at tables to maximize advantage, exercise good game selection.

basically all the same concepts that apply to tourney vs. cash hold'em

As far as game play, the ratio of the stack sizes to the blinds is the biggest difference. Since that ratio is higher in cash games, the implied odds are more important, especially in choosing what hands to play preflop. A236 is a great starting hand with big stacks, while I'd much rather have A2 + a couple of big cards in a tournament.
