View Full Version : Party 2/4NL: Weak AJ Laydown?

Well, seeing as though 400NL is my home at the moment, which is borderline Mid-high stakes/Small-Stakes, I've decided to post in both forums as I feel I owe it to some of the smaller stakes players seeing as though the high stakes players help me out. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a brilliant hand, just thought it was a start.

SB is villain in this hand, I have over 2K hands on him but only through datamining, so no reads other than stats. 14.88VPIP and 2.78PFR, -1.15 BBs/100 hands.

So, how was this played? Is this a weak laydown? How do you play it differently?

Thanks,
-Ace

this is a tricky hand.

i like the flop raise, but i wouldn't check behind on the turn. i'd bet 1/2 to 2/3 the pot on the turn. if he raises, i'm gone. if he calls, i hope it goes check-check on the river. if he leads the river, i dunno. i'd prob muck it and move on.

when did people start posting bb/100? I think on the river you have to lay this down as you are ahead of very few holdings. I think the best line to take would have been to be around 35 on the turn to see were u stood, if he put in a raise wed know he hit, instead of having to guess on the river.

why raise the flop and then check the turn?

i don't like it. its the right laydown given the line you took. but i probably bet the turn, fold to any raise.

Good laydown, on with the next hand.

I check the turn here very often. I dont beat anything bar the unlikely AT right now.

Good job.
