Seems I'm losing a lot of big pots lately. Samples below. No real reads on anybody.

How many mistakes did I make here? Do you not cap the river here?

Preflop: Hero is SB with A/images/graemlins/club.gif, J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 checks, CO calls, 1 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (7.00 SB) J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif (7 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO folds, Hero raises, BB folds, UTG calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, MP2 folds.

River: (8.50 BB) 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 16.50 BB.

Results in white below:
UTG has Td 8h (four of a kind, eights.)
Hero has Ac Jd (a full house, Eights full of aces.)
UTG wins 15.75 BB.

Same kind of deal here. I know it was probably a weak limp preflop but the table was pretty passive. When do you stop raising on the river?

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, Hero calls, 2 folds, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5.00 SB) 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, MP2 folds, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds.

Turn: (4.00 BB) 9/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets, Hero raises, SB calls, UTG calls.

River: (10.00 BB) A/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB folds, UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 18.00 BB.

Results in white below:

UTG has Ah Ad (three of a kind, aces.)
Hero has 3d 3h (three of a kind, threes.)
UTG wins 17.25 BB.

Do you typically look for monsters with no reads on players? I think this is a big leak in my game and GREATLY appreciate any tips you guys have.

i think you played both hands fine, maybe slow down in hand 1 because your likely splitting, but you basically got unlucky twice, this is not a major leak because it dosent happen much

the first hand is much worse than the second. no need to 3 bet with the ace especially since the hand was multiway. he is not raising with anything less than an ace.

the second hand i think is ok.

Hand #2 is fine by my standards.

In had #1, I'd probably just call his raise on the river. I'd have to believe that I'm chopping this pot almost always. Unless of course, you have a read that he's a total idiot and would be raising with a J here.

Number 2 is fine.

3-betting the river in hand 1 is probably bad. Most of the time you are splitting. The times you are behind > the times you are ahead imo though, so 3-betting is wrong. Even if you thought you were ahead slightly more often than behind, 3-betting could be wrong.

Hand 2 is fine. I don't see how you could possibly put UTG on the hand he held based on the way he played the first 3 streets.

Hand 1 depends on the limit. I am much more likely to 3-bet this river on 2/4 & below because a lot of your opponents are going to be just plain stupid. When you get up to higher limits, that's when I start to be a little more concerned about what they'll raise with vs. what they'll call a 3-bet with vs. what they'll cap with. I've won a lot of extra bets on lower limits by 3-betting the river in cases where I should be no better than chopping.
