I've been killing some local NL underground games lately and it's making me want to go to a casino, if all live games are that juicy. I live in Springfield, IL. If there's not one within driving distance, I might even fly out somewhere so recommendations for the best NL games in the country would be good too. Thanks.

Hi kurosh,

Lots of 18 year old players at the Chumash Casino card room. Its just north of Santa Barbara, CA.

you're going to have to go to tstone in ny or cali as far as I know, or get a fake. Seems like one is a lot easier than the rest...

He wanted NL. Best he'll find here is a ridiculously soft 6/12 or 8/16, and an occasionally soft 15/30.

EDIT ADD: I'll still try and show up and meet some of you guys. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

[/ QUOTE ]From Springfield or Urbana? Maybe... my limit game is infinitely stronger than my NL, but I dunno how much fun or profitable the 15/30 or 30/60 at Canterbury would be compared to a fishy 2-5 NL game.

If I do go, SCHNEIDS I'M CALLING YOU OUT HU 30/60 jopke

I don't know how the 15 has been recently, but I know it can be VERY good.

If you're calling Schneids out, then I all but guarantee I'll be there. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Tony is from St. Louis. He's driving up to Peoria, and we are leaving in my car from Peoria. You can just leave it in my parking lot. We'll be rotating on the way there (the bowl and the driver)

By the way Kurosh the number one reason I go to Canterbury to play in the 30 is because it's fun. There's a lot of great, pleasant people who frequent that game, plus it's often a good game.

For instance last night we were doing straddle rounds for a few hours and most pots were 4 bets 5+ ways preflop, while buying eachother drinks.

rockford is alright, i play there over the summer, but nothing too great, don't offer NL, only 1-3 spread, 2-5 spread and 5/10 plus some tourneys

Hey kurosh, I'm from Springfield too, although I go to school near chicago. Maybe we could talk over AOL/PM/email sometime, I'd love to get in on these underground games. If you're interested we can swap info.

Hi kurosh,

This "I have a test" bit is BS. Cut the class, skip the test - and lets go play some cards.

anyone going to any rockford games anytime soon?

Also, are the rockford games usually tight, soft, maniacal, or?

The Rockford Games are a total fish fest. I'd estimate 1 in 6 players has ANY idea how to play, all the way up to 5/10 (which is the highest game they were running while I was there)

Agreed. Tests are for nerds, and people who aren't good enough at poker so they need things called "degrees". Hope you come to your senses.

Edit: Nerd.
