No real reads on the villain, only have 62 hands on him. Is my check reraise on the flop ok? I wanted to define his hand as overcards and get heads up against hte short stack, hoping the short stack had a flush draw or some other pair. The original PFR insta min raised me though which smelled funny but I didn't know what to make of it so I folded. Would it have been better to call the flop? Lead?

Lead the flop, fold to a raise. It's a much cheaper way of finding out that you're beat.

I suck with JJ but I lead the flop, you invest less in finding out where youre at.

On a side note, What's your action if you lead, he calls and the turn is a blank?

Yah I think leading is better, I was hoping to snap off a continuation bet but its probably more profitable to find out where you are at. If I get called its c/f to any reasonable bet time.

I don't mind snapping off continuation bets with a c/r, but I prefer doing it with a draw than what I think is likely the best hand.

Do you see why?

this move is not too bad.

lead, fold to raise is better if you are fairly certain they won't raise with any hands that you beat.

Because I want to show down my best hand not get them to fold or push me off, while I want them to fold with my draw and/or disguise my hand. ?
