So I need some guitar supplies (new strap, thinking about getting a small amp for my acoustic, etc.) and I've been looking for a guitar store in DC and I can't seem to find one. I can only find either classical instrument stores (piano, violin, etc.) or weird rare instrument stores. Does anyone on here know of a good guitar store in DC?

And, for your viewing pleasure, I present Brooke.

Victor Litz music centers. Not sure if there are any in DC but there is one in Silver Spring just outside.

Are you telling me that there isn't a Guitar Center in DC? What about Baltimore (I don't know if that's practical)? You could aslo do it online via someplace like musicians friend. If you go the online route best bet would be to go to shopzilla and compare prices. There is a bunch of online music stores, might as well make them compete with each other.

Baltimore isn't that practical. I'm ideally looking for something that's accessible by Metro, and that's what I'm having trouble finding. I've found some stuff in MD and VA but that would be damn near impossible to get to.

Any problem shopping online? You should be able to snoop around on google and search google groups and find a store that will guarentee their product. A strap would be no problem to buy online. The amp may be a little tricky depending on what you want it for.

I don't play guitar, but I *think* there's a good one at Dupont South. I can't remember the name of it, but I remember my uncle saying something about it.

Not very helpful, I guess, but it's a start.

I generally don't have a problem shopping online for anything, but with guitar stuff, I like to be able to sit in the guitar store and play for a littel while before i buy it.

Cool, maybe I'll head out to Dupont sometime this week, just kinda go looking around. Thanks. If you could, send me a PM if you remember the name.

Is that jizz dangling from her belly button?

No, it's a belly ring.

There's a place on Old Georgetown Rd. in Bethesda, about 3 blocks from the Bethesda Metro station, called Southworth Guitars. I live around the corner, but I don't play the guitar and have never been into that store in my life...so no recomendation, just letting you know where it is.
