View Full Version : whoops
PP $55. Last hand, it was folded to the SB who completed and the BB (SB in this hand) pushed for 320. No read on UTG.
Blinds 10/15. UTG limps. Folded to SB who completes. I check with KQo. Flop comes QJ7 with two clubs. I think I have one club. SB pushes for 300 something. My play?

It's impossible for him to flopped the straight, so you can rule that out. If he's only got 300 chips, he probably plays a 2pr a little slower.
So, he's probably got a weaker queen or jack, or really who the hell knows or cares. If you still have over t450 by calling this and blinds are at 10/15, then I probably call it. If UTG reraises allin, youve got to lay it down, but I probably make this call based on your read from last time.
You can't fold just because utg MIGHT be slowplaying a monster...and if he does come over the top, youll get to find out what he has, and make a note of it!
I'm not concerned about SB.

I really think this is a huge smooth call. UTG may lay down AQ or better, but it's doubtful. If UTG also smooth calls, you check/fold it down.
I think all that a push does here is get you called by a better than. I think I does very little in terms of isolation.

I'd push
I called and UTG pushed. I mumbled some expletives under my breath and decided I had to call. AA owns me. Botch job.
