I want to buy 3 monitors, allhave to be 1600 X 1200 resolution, one needs to be a flat panel, the other two can be CRTs - if anyone can point me to the best place to buy these I would appreciate it.
I would also appreciate any input on what CRTs are decent, I'm assuming a 21" CRT with 1600X1200 resolution would be 200-300 bucks?

There is no way a guy with your income/skill level should even consider a CRT. That is just absurd. The Dell 2001FP seems to be the time honored monitor of choice around here. I run 2 of them and they are fantastic.
PriceGrabber.Com - for ineternet price comparisons
NewEgg.com -- An Excellent Point of Purchase with GOOD competitive prices (although maybe not quite always the lowest)

Sorry I misread your post. I didn't realize you mainly wanted a location.

You can find a refurbished CRT for about 100-200 on ebay or maybe pricegrabber. For the LCD I suggest Dell. I also hear septre or spectre (no idea how to spell) is good, but I heard that second and third hand. I can tell you first hand that you won't be disappointed w/ the 2001fp from Dell (I should ask them for an endorsement deal since I keep mentioning them in most my posts lately!). Check their website and they may even have some refurbished CRT's there too.
