PARTICIPATION IN "SIT AND GO" TOURNAMENTS (Multi and Single):
for every $2 you pay the house to enter a single-table tournament, you will be awarded 1 EPoint.

Does it round down or up if you enter a 50+5 or 100+9?

I'm going to guess that they hold the fractions. I played the $10 tourneys for a while and accumulated 1 point for every 2 tournaments played.

From the website:

"EPoints are redeemable for buying gifts at our EmpirePoker Gift Shop, special tournament buy-ins, a personal web page on EmpirePoker.com, real cash into your EmpirePoker account, and other prizes, which will be announced over time."

It doesn't look like you need to do anything to start earning them. Go under Options menu -> VIP account to see how many point you have.

best part is when you reach 15k epoints for the Royal Flush Club, Empire gives you 20% up to $100 per month on deposits. no rake requirements.

Once you become a VIP (prior to becoming a RFC member) you get 2x the points.

In the Empire lobby go to the Options menu and then you'll see a VIP selection. It will bring you to the webisite to check your total.

no, i meant how many points / rake do you have to generate to cash out. you can't deposit 500 and then withdraw 600 after not playing for 2 days.

Yes you could. But if you were a total nit about it they might take away your RFC status if you werent playing there anymore, though I don't know that for sure.

Otherwise, I've been depositing $1000 a month for no reason.

ugh, like 1200. and i'm thinking about getting a new account with better rakeback, so i'd lose those.

slight hijack - is it a hassle to get a 2nd account?

3 Easy Steps to VIP Bumpage:

1)Ask once, get email back saying no.
2)Go on a downswing.
3)Take a week or two off.

I was bumped this way, I've heard others say they have been bumped in this manner as well.

Do e-points work like this for rake too? ($2 in rake = 1 epoint?) I haven't signed up for empire...yet.

Go to www.ep.com to find out all you ever wanted to know about VIP points.

They bumped myself and others before reaching 1500 if I remember correctly.

I didn't think they bumped people who asked? One of my accounts got bumped up after only earning around 1500 points because of the insane ammount of play that account was generating. I think it is all about how much you play in a short time period. Although the other described method could work too, I don't know.
