Some of you have asked me where in France I am from and I noticed a lot of threads about where to go during European vacations.
I am posting the site of the town I grew up in. I would advise anyone who travels to France to visit the little towns located on the Mediterranean coast. I would be interested to see some of the towns you guys grew up in.

I hope some of you will enjoy this /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not nearly as nice as the Massapequa Park Train station though.

There's a place in France,
Where the naked ladies dance.
There's a hole in the wall,
So the boys can see it all.

I've wanted to go ever since. Some day I will.

I moved to France a month and a half ago (I'm in Toulouse right now). I wanted to stay here at least a year but it seems to be impossible to rent an appartment. You have to either have a job (professional poker player doesn't count) or have someone guarantee payment for you who lives in France. I have neither, so it looks like I'm going to have to go somewhere else. Have any suggestions on obtaining lodging, Mslif?

Mimosas is a yellow flower-tree (or a drink) and Bormes really does not mean anything.

I think you are in the same situation there than you would be here if you tried to rent an apartment with no jobs. I can definitely help you out if you need some names and references to put on applications. Just PM me what you need and I'll see what I can do.

I have always wanted to go to the south of France, mainly for the surf. How is the surf in your home town? Looking at its proximity to some other well know breaks, I would think that it is pretty good, but the pictures look like it is in some kind of protected bay?

Here is where I grew up, and still live.

The surf on the mediterranean coast is not good at all. The west is where you want to be, like Biarritz, Hossegor, Lacanau...

Passing a bajillion world famous landmarks on the way to work every morning is pretty cool... Be nice to see some grass and trees and stuff occasionally, though.
