villian is 46/4/35 after about 50 hands, thats right aggression factor is 35

he went nuts on an earlier hand when i had aces, i called down from the turn and he showed me T4o for ten high, no draw, nothing

so the question is where, if ever, do you slow down?

With a guy this stupidly aggressive I cap if you don't mind the swings. This guy is going play hell on a bankroll if he catches cards, but if you want to play a percentage game you can basically ignore him and cap it. You are certainly ahead 50% of the time.

With all that said, if you cap and he shows you 56 for two pair or Q7 for the runner-runner, be sure to stay calm and tell yourself this game is all about the "long run". Also buy a bottle of pepto and hope he doesn't leave until he's broke.

i think when he raises the river... that's a good time.

Yah go down to the fridge and get some OJ, then dig out the post ban ephdra. Caffeine is gay (yes thats a pejorative) because you WILL crash off caffeine. Put on some music. Add this guy to your buddy list, and withdraw from your new ATM machine for as long as he has money.

You played it fine.

WARNING this maniac is on your left which absolutely sucks if he loves to cold call preflop because you will never be able to isolate. Personally I like the 50/30/30 guys because they 3bet and isolate me, but this guy doesn't raise preflop too much so you will be playing lots of multiway pots for multiple bets. Be careful.

even maniacs get lucky sometimes... so perhaps going only 2 (or 3 bets if you c/r and call a 3-bet) as opposed to capping the river is the way to go

While he appears to be completely insane postflop, he's not playing every single hand, and he's pretty passive preflop (insofar as 50 hands of data can be trusted). Has he played every hand like this postflop?

Here are some numbers for how your AA stacks up against a random hand for this board:

Flop: 85.2%
Turn: 80.4%
River: 56.6%

While I'd like to say "yeah, cap the river against this guy" I think the 4 str8 on the river makes me play it exactly as you did.

What was villians SD%? If he was raising all the way to SD every hand, then you may as well keep raising all the way to the end.

If his 35 PFA represents raising until he suddenly folds (typically somewhere short of the sd) then you need to consider slowing down when you he passes his typical "fold point".

I've never seen a 35PFA, but the 8's you sometimes run across typically have a fold point where they decide all your raises mean they can't buy that particular pot.

went to SD 41, win at SD, 41, and after about 100 hands his AF has gone down significantly actually to like 10, but i know from experience that hes crazy as [censored], however i was 4-tabling so i wasnt watching every hand, i just remember at least 3 examples of where he went nuts with nothing
